Today’s interview is with Alvin Phang who is a professional blogger making over $200,000 a year from his blog at GatherSuccess.com. He has successfully turned his hobby into a business, sharing about his life and business experiences through his blog, which now makes him a full time income. Alvin is a very outgoing person and is a sought out speaker who presents regular seminars about Internet marketing throughout Singapore.
I interviewed Alvin so I could find out how he achieved huge success with blogging. What I like about Alvin is how he focuses on the quality of his leads, rather than having thousands of leads that don’t make him any money. This is one of his successful strategies that you will learn in this interview.
Recently, my friend Adam suggested I take a look at replacemyself.com, which is a website that shows you how to train and outsource your business to people in the Philippines working for you full time starting from $250 US per month. Although the information provided is not free, it was extremely valuable and for the price of $97.00 US, it is definitely worth it! It sparked my interest because I am already outsourcing tasks to assistants in the Philippines and I wanted to see how this system could improve my business further. Before we get into the details of this system, I am going explore what outsourcing is and how you can use it within your own Internet business.
What Is Outsourcing?
For me, it is taking routine tasks or areas of my business and hiring good quality people to do them for me at a fraction of the cost. One of the main reasons why I outsource a majority of my business is to eliminate the tasks that I am not good at and focus on tasks that utilises my strengths. For example, I currently have all of my emails and telephone support outsourced to a team of assistants. Therefore I am able to focus my time and energy to do more podcast interviews with leading experts and deliver them through this blog.

If you haven’t read the previous post, you need to read Our Internet Secrets: How To Create Membership Sites. This podcast continues on and shows you how to create your own membership site that has helped Andrew and Daryl Grant make over $500,000 a year alone.
How To Create Your Membership Site In Three Steps
Today, our podcast is with my good friend Adam Lever from Big Screen Promotions. We both met each other at an event a few weeks ago and teamed up to bring to you some very special podcasts on topics to help you profit from your Internet business. In the upcoming weeks we will be doing regular weekly talks and sharing with you lots of detailed information on how to profit from your Internet business.
On Friday I attended Andrew and Daryl Grant’s 4 day workshop in Sydney called Our Internet Secrets. I was very fortunate to attend this event and have to thank Yaro Starak from Entrepreneur’s Journey again for giving me 1 out of the 20 tickets. This course is normally $1,995.00, so I was very grateful to attend as a guest. Over the 4 days there were a lot of excellent speakers on top of having Andrew and Daryl speak. All of the speakers that presented is part of the Our Internet Secrets faculty group and if you are a member of this program you get access to them. Some of the speakers were: Yaro Starak, Bret Thomson, Darren Stephens, Greg Cassar, Paul Blackburn and Janet Beckers.
Each of them brought different their unique expertise and shared with the audience on how they created and achieved great success with their Internet Businesses. I was particularly interested to learn about how Andrew and Daryl Grant set up a very successful multi-million dollar business using their eBook and membership site strategies. These were just a couple of components that were part of their game plan. For example a goal they achieved were:
Having a membership site with 1,000 members paying $49 a month over 12 months (Income of $588,000 a year)
Selling 20 Internet Business packs per month at seminars for $3,000 each over 12 months (Income of $600,000 a year)
These were two of the strategies that intrigued me the most and it did make sense that it was possible to make a million dollars a year. You might be wondering how did they do this? Well, I am going to share with you the first goal they accomplished.
Creating A Membership Site
As Andrew and Daryl points out, they have a membership site that could be created and launched within 3 days. For me that is unheard of because I would be thinking where do you get the content so fast? This got me really excited and I wanted to learn how they did it! Before you could start creating a membership site you need to understand what is currently available in the market and how to make yours different, so you will stand out. Well, lets explore what are some of the problems most membership sites have in common:
Can take 6 months or more to set up before it makes any money.
Members stay an average of only 2-3 months, so you don’t get a recurring income
Most membership site software is designed by and for people with a US company and bank account.
Can be expensive to set up, depending on the software you use.

Simon Rogers is a 15 year old blogger who I wanted to interview and find out how he started to make money from his blog called Teenius. Simon’s blog came under my radar when his comments on a popular blog provided great value to the community of readers. (That’s also a tip on how to get yourself to stand out).
Around two years ago, Simon was looking to make some money for the summer and a friend showed him how to start making money from proxies, which he will share with you in this Interview. From there he stumbled across blogging which he initially didn’t like. Though, as you will soon find out Simon started to make money from blogging and the rest is history…
