Hi! It’s Tyrone from Tyroneshum.com. Happy new year to 2011! I’m really, really am excited because it’s the first, first video of 2011 and usually what I like to do is to share with you my new year’s goals and resolutions. And I know a lot of people do this so I’m pretty much just following the lead but at the same time this is really just to share with you what I want to do for 2011 because 2010 for me was really, really exciting year. At the same time, there’s been a lot of ups and downs as you probably may have seen, and last for the last year 2010, for me it was all about learning and also learning to develop and be a better person.
So this year, for 2011 there’s a lot of business goals that I want to accomplish and a lot of things I want to achieve as well, too and I love to have the support of everybody around me and also just been keeping accountable to you. All right so I’m going to share with you my 2011 goals and I’ve written it down here and most of them are really just to help grow and also to provide really, really valuable information for you. So let’s just jump into it.
My first goal for 2011 is to run 4 workshops where I’m able to help people locally in Sydney and also across Australia to be able to coach them and teach them on how to grow their business through the outsourcing strategy that I teach. And that’s something that I’m really excited to do because at the same time I can really be hands-on to be able to show people what to do. I found that a lot of people contact me and when I was previously a panelist at a webinar, in a workshop that I had recently, in last year in 2010, a lot of people came up to me and asked me a lot of questions and I found that that’s very effective and I found that I’ve helped a lot of people. So therefore I’m going to be running 4 workshops this year in Sydney and also helping as many business owners out there as well, too so I love to see you if you can make it over here in Sydney.
Furthermore, my second goal is as you probably may have been following and you probably know by now, both Pat Flynn and myself have been doing a niche site duel challenge and what I plan to do for this year is to expand in this with my team around me and the support that I have, I’m able to develop and create more niche websites very, very quickly. So what I’m planning to do this year is to monetize at least 10 niche websites and I’ve already found 10 niche websites which we, or niche markets that we’re going into. Which is now at this point in time developing all of them, creating the content and building it up so that we can get on first page of Google and also too, to monetize them. So as you’re probably aware, I’ve got one of them that’s currently ranked in number 1 in Google for that niche market and we are generating income from that but what we want to do is we want to be able to increase this and multiply it by 10 times. So basically I’ve put it to 10, it’s just a matter of implementing the processes and get that going. So that’s the second goal.
The third goal is this is mostly for the Tyroneshum.com blog and what I want to do this year is to increase the subscribers up to 20,000. I’m currently sitting just on the 10,000 and last year, I’ve set out goal to be able to have 3,000 subscribers and I’ve way surpassed that. So at this point in time, I’m sitting at just on the 10,000 subscribers and my goal for 2011 is to aim to have 20,000 subscribers by end of 2011. So being in realistic goal, I’m just going to take that as a growth stage and take it as it comes.
And furthermore, what I want to do is because I do a lot of videos online as well and I’ve focused quite a bit on teaching videos online and going to express everything online so what I want to try to do for this year as well is to target to do to have at least 2,000 subscribers on Youtube in addition to the 20,000 subscribers on the blog. So for me right now I’m sitting on about 320 subscribers on Youtube so it’s a pretty big goal for me for this year but I think I believe I can do that so I’m just going to keep accountable to you guys and also love your support to help me with that.
Also too, another goal that I have set in place is to launch a book, launch a book across Australia. I don’t have exactly the details and the title of it though I have been speaking to people and I’ve got the support of others to be able to help me with this particular book, including yourselves as well, too. And I’ll be releasing more details about it soon. The goal is to be able to launch a book by June of 2011 and we’ll see how that goes as well.
And then finally, the fifth goal that I have for this year or the new year’s resolution is to do community service and to help and find a young teenager where I can help him, coach him and give him mentor support and also advice in the life skills. Nothing relating too much about business but what I want to do is to teach him and to be successful through school and then take on those life skills because when I went through high school and also primary school, I was very, very fortunate to have a mentor and teacher who’d be able to help me and gave me those, and told me those skills that I didn’t ever have. And those skills basically were being able to survive out in the real world. Being able to have that mental capacity to communicate with the people, to put together the things that I can do myself. And, I’ll just give you an example.
I was really, really scared of doing sport. Surprisingly, I’m very, very fortunate now because I have the knowledge and understanding of how to play a lot of sports but when I first started, I was just a pretty fat kid just sitting on my bum and I just didn’t like sport because I thought I’d get teased. Over the period of time I have the support and encouragement of my great teachers and coaches that I had around me in high school. I got involved in soccer, athletics, cross-country and a lot of so many other things. And those things taught me discipline and also taught me how to be able to be better in myself and learn to have the self-confidence and do a lot of things that I do right now. So I want to be able to pass those skills and to help a young teenager and also offer a bit more community service around the local area too.
As much as I’m doing right now in church, I’m also supporting the resources center previously but also too, I’m also helping my church in the connect groups that I do. So this is something that I want to do for 2011 which is to find a young teenager and to help him and mentor him and just give him the support that he’ll need. And that’s something that I want to just give back.
So that’s my final goal for 2011 and I love to be able to share this continuously with you and just keep you up to date what’s happening in those respects around those goals. Now, I love to challenge you to share with me your goals for this year. 2011 is a brand new year, we’ve got so many great things happening and I love to see what you’re going to be up to for this year. So feel free to share them below in the comments there and I love to be able to just get in contact with you once in a while just to check up on how things are going as well and just keeping accountable to those goals. And, hopefully you can look at the end of 2011 and say Tyrone, thanks very much for allowing me to leave a comment and I’m so glad that I actually put it there and pull it out there and just got there and made the goal happen. And I’m doing exactly the same thing for myself as well, too.
So thank you so much for 2010 and I’m really looking forward for 2011 which is right now and I really appreciate all your support as well, too.
All right, this is pretty much it. My name is Tyrone from Tyroneshum.com and I’m really excited to share with you in the next video what’s going to be happening for this blog for this year. Okay, thanks very much see you soon. Bye for now.
I wish you the very best for 2011 and I hope I’ve inspired you to think about what you want to achieve this year. Let’s make it fun and exciting and let’s all do it together!
So it’s your turn, what are your goals for 2011? Please share them below.

My name is
It has taken me 4 years to learn this internet business. I am very concerned about the rip off merchants out there. However there is great content on this website and I commend you. Anyone who genuinely gives back is number one in my book.
Steve
You have helped us a lot with our focus and vision.
Thanks Tyrone.
Hi Tyrone,
Wow! What a remarkable goals for 2011!
You’ve done a great job in 2010 for sharing your ideas. I’ve learned a lot of things from you. I am positive that you’ll be able to achieve all your goals in 2011 because you are an expert on that.
I like the idea of community service. It’s just right to give back and share your blessings to our youngsters who need support and a mentoring.
Happy New Year!
Thanks Michelle and it’s great to have your support too!
How’s all your book consulting going by the way?
Good goals that you set for 2011 Tyrone. Definitely not out of your reach. I myself apply the S.M.A.R.T. system to achieving goals to make certain they are a little out of my comfort zone but definitely reachable.

You certainly have some pretty clear and challenging goals. Made me think about whether to publish my goals on my blog, as a way of making me accountable to my readers. Need to be clear what they are first!
Hi David,
As I’ve been running my blog for the last year or so it has made me be more concise with my goals and that’s the reason why it was important to publish them. I am looking forward to a great year.
Hello Tyrone,
Very good on your goals. I commend you on being a mentor because I never had one when I was young and wish I did to give me confidence in certain areas of life since I had poor role models as for parents. Everyone needs help and encouragement, especially when they are young and I praise you for taking the step to do something about it.
Keep up the great work and I hope you thrive and prosper in the new year!
Hi Rick,
I totally agree and I didn’t have very good support for my parents as well. My parents only supported me financially but they were never there for my most important events. This is my way of giving back.
Nice goals Tyrone, some very tough but I’m sure you’ll have success with them.
I don’t have specific goals for 2011, I have business goals that I want to achieve but I have short, medium and long term ones that I have planned but I should get more detail on them, so I’ll work on that. Thanks for sharing!
Ohhhhhh, I have so many goals for 2011! I’m starting a new business in social media locally, I want to convert my puppet theater business into a vehicle that generates a small income for me and provides some work and income for a few friends, I am building a foundation for an organizing site and subsequent smartphone app, I want the parenting blog to be something more concretely encouraging, and then there’s keeping up with the house and schooling the kids.
Perhaps I should make “sleep” a goal too.
And I want to get into the virtual staff thing. I’m getting better at visualizing what that will look like and how to structure everything. I was planning to sit down and write out the major goals and then break out what the objectives would be, but I ran out of time over the holiday break. So I guess my first goal is to write out all the goals.
Thanks for the challenge!
Hi Amy,
Wow! It sounds very very exciting and I would love to hear how that keeps going on. So I would love to see your goals on your blog to let me know when that goes up?
Dear Tyrone -
Very ambitious and I have great confidence in you that you will achieve every one.
You will especially enjoy your work in sponsoring a teenager.
I did quite a stint in the prison in Chicago and also with the courts working with prostitutes.
Always gave thanks after every meeting. I felt so priveliged to do this work.
Sharing what you know is so beneficial and nourishing to yourself.
Hi Corinne,
Thanks and yes helping a teenager is going to be fun and rewarding. My fiancée works close to these kind of people as well so I can completely relate. Thanks for commenting!
Hi Tyrone,
Wow you have it all planned out and that is what it takes to make things happen.
You are a good example for the rest of us and I really appreciate you sharing your goal.
The mentoring is a great idea. There are always children out there that can use the extra help and someone to believe in them.
Good luck and wishing you a very Happy New Year.
Debbie
Hi Debbie,
I try my best to plan out and the majority of the time it works out to be. I hope it inspires you as well and happy new year for 2011.
Got to go big on the goals….this is going ot be an awesome year
thanks Mitch. What are your goals?
I am glad to hear some goals that aren’t about spending less or losing weight!
I am really wanting to hear about what you learn and accomplish in your niche site building.
Here is to a great year in 2011 for you, me and all the others commenting here.
Hi Bruce,
My goal for this year was to not lose weight but to get really lean and bulk up, which is the complete opposite. As for the niche sites building that is going well and I will keep everyone updated on that.
Have a great year on 2011.
I have a clear idea of what I want, but for some odd reason, I don’t have set goals for the new year.
I started to prepare myself in late 2009 in six areas but allowed flexibility for changes, experience and growth.
1. Music
2. Business & Entrepreneurship
3. Marketing / Interactive
4. Technology
5. Income Streams
6. Health
Hello SparkHero,
That is definitely a good start and now looking at my goals I think that was a good way to break everything up. I mostly focus on points two and five ends I overlooked point 6 though I keep a good focus on my health every day anyway.
Tyrone,
I really like your goals. They are stretching but very achievable.
I do like the workshops one – that is something I have been thinking about for quite a while.
Plus the mentoring…hope you don’t mind but I just might ‘steal’ that one. It’s nice to give something back.
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
They are stretching and as long as I have a plan in place I believe it’s achievable. In regards to the workshops it’s something that I’ve been wanting to do for the last year & it’s taken a leap of faith to do until now when I been encouraged and supported by others to. Lastly the mentoring, sure you can take it and use it to.
You have great goals, Tyrone.
I believe that you can achieve them all with your discipline and determination.
Excellent start for 2011, Tyrone. You’re an inspiration to the rest of us. Good luck – I’m certain that you will be successful with achieving everything you’ve striving for plus MORE that you haven’t even thought of yet.
Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for your support and yes you’re right there are more goals in the background which I haven’t shared as well.
