Chris Ducker Talks About Outsourcing For A Lifestyle Business

A little over a month ago Chris Ducker and I made contact and prior to that I had been reading and following his blog – Virtual Business Lifestyle (which is so cool – a must read!).

I first stumbled across his blog when I saw his interview at the Lifestyle Business Podcast iTunes channel where he shared about managing a team of around 200 staff in his business. After listening to that interview I thought it’d be great to get in contact with Chris to find out more about how he manages so many staff and why he does this. Since then we’ve really struck a chord and have
been talking about outsourcing to create a Lifestyle Business.

The reason why I interviewed Chris is because his an expert in Outsourcing to the Philippines. His currently got close to 200 staff in his business and they are all helping medium to large businesses outsource their work. To learn more about how Chris outsources to the Philippines and how his creating the ultimate “virtual CEO lifestyle“, then you need to watch this interview:

Yes, Chris is really fun to interview with. We’ve actually talked a while in FaceBook and Twitter but I didn’t expect I’m going to know Chris a whole lot better here. He’s easy to talk to and that’s why this is one of my happiest interviews ever done plus the values we shared is big.

  10. I have little knowledge on outsoucing and would like to outsource in the future. I have some questions, would it be better to use outsourcing companies / agencies directly for outsourcing, then finding and using individual virtual assistants or resell other companies services that compliment your own services?

    • Thanks for your comment. It really depends on what you can afford firstly. Usually you will expect to pay a little more when you use an agency as they will charge a commission on top of the person you are hiring. Though you are paying for their services and for them to ‘filter’ and ‘pre-train’ your virtual assistant. On the other hand if you find a virtual assistant yourself you will probably need to also spend time training them and also you will probably be able to negotiate a better salary with them. I’m not sure what you mean by resell other company services though..
