Thanks for stopping by. This is a great question. V.A’s can help you do almost anything – from handling emails, to booking appointments to processing your paperwork. It’s up to you what you need them for. Look at it as though they are your Personal assistant, except are virtual in a different location in the world.

How to train your virtual assistants to respond? Well this one requires training and to get them familiarised with your business. I would recommend getting them to review your FAQ’s if you have one. Otherwise I would suggest putting one in place. This would help answer a lot of the common questions. Then over time they will be able to handle your questions via email once they understand your business.

About the video for V.A’s – that’s a good one and I’ll jot that down to create one for everyone.

What a V.A can do? Well there are a ton of things:

- administrative support
- management that might include any number of ongoing tasks, functions and roles delivered on an ongoing basis
- responding to emails
- processing blog posts
- maintaining a blog post and filtering comments
- almost anything you train them to do

I recently found your blog and I must say I’m loving it. I do have a few questions though that maybe you could answer in a blog post. I’m a little confused by the whole V.A. thing. I get the reason for outsourcing, but what exactly does a V.A. do?

I know you said check e-mail post blog post, but how does a V.A. answer e-mail for you? For instantly, when people e-mail me they are asking for advice, recommendations and etc. How would your V.A. know how to respond? How do you teach a V.A. to respond to mail the way you would. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but something that has been on my mind.

Also, maybe you could do a video of your V.A. explaning the task they do for you and how they do it. you said you won’t find a V.A. to do everything so what would be a top 10 list of what they could do for you?

I’ve hired programmers, designers and etc, but the whole V.A. thing just escapes me. I guess what I’m saying is if your paying full time 40 hours a week what exactly are they doing in all that time especially since they can’t do programmer and etc. No offense but hiring someone to just post blog post and do e-mail doesn’t seem like it would take 40 hours a week. Maybe you could do a post that shows how you utlize your V.A. within that time frame.

What are some stuff they do for you, task and etc. It’s late and I’m tired so hopefully this post makes some sense. Love the site
