Great article on landing pages. The trick is to test and test again. Too bad I don't do that. I just take the soft approach by writing about stuff that interests me and linking out. Not a fast way to get rich but it works for me well enough.

I have a problem with a landing page at the moment... I moved one of my old websites into wordpress which is working out great...but now the sales page I had for my ebook has sidebars surrounding it.. People cant focus on the sales page now... And the theme I am using makes it hard to use a different template... The real problem is that the page is also Page Rank 4 and I do not want to loose that. What do you think?

Hi Fiona,

I agree with you. It's all about looking after your customers and shoppers online and providing answers to their questions.

The same way shoppers don’t want a pushy sales clerk following them around a store when shopping, online shoppers don’t want chat sessions popping up everywhere. When you are in the store you ask many question for a product.

You can get more info about CDN from http://www.streamingmedia.com or just contact me via http://www.gizmovideo.com

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your comment. I will definitely have bread crumbs implemented into my ecommerce stores and recommend it to others. It's important for customers to trace back to where they started or could be taken too.

Thanks for the great tip!

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for the great tip. I will look into the Content Delivery Network and test it out. This will surely save resources on your own servers.

Regarding "Reduce Download Times"
Point 7 could be to add a CDN (Content Delivery Network) which will cache your files (from images, audio to video) from many 100 servers.

Great post, Thanks for the information!
The landing page is truly very important and must clearly indicate the call to action. Once someone lands on your site, It's up to you to provide the bread trail, and the type of bread crumbs you use to lead people with, will make all the difference in their perceived value.

Make sure to leave nice, bright, and shiny crumbs :)
