  1. I’ve had a private office in Cebu with 8 workers that handle website administration tasks for several of our fitness websites and related content sites. I’ve had most of them for nearly 10 years now.

They work as independent contractors and actually earn more than if we were to set up a formal office. It saves endless overhead and waste to set it up in a home based business style so you don’t have to deal with all of the red tape of the government. Obviously you need a well paid and loyal individual to be the office manager. But once you have that in place you can manage the office from anywhere in the world.

  2. Really? That’s cool! The owner of this company is Justin Cooke and Joseph Magnotti. If you want to talk to them you can leave a comment as well to our website the http://www.trybpo.com. I’m so glad that you really recommend Filipino to work to foreign clients.. Nice to meet you Tyrone! More Power!

  3. Hi Tyrone! Very nice interview. I work in a BPO company in the Philippines at TryBPO.com it’s an american-owned company. Here in TryBPO we will give you an affordalbe, dependable and efficient workers. The owner really trained us how to do things about outsourcing. Check out our website for more information. More power to you Tyrone. I also check other videos of you at youtube. Thanks for giving a positive things that you seen to us Filipinos.

    • Hi Aiza,

Thank you. I’ve heard of TryBPO before. Could I ask who owns this company? Also I have had great experiences working with Filipinos which is why I always recommend people to hire from your country. It’s great to see locals come to support us. You all rock!

  4. Thanks for the great tips. With all of the talk about foreigners taking jobs, Americans want too much money.
If they were smarter, they’d take a low fee in the beginning and as your blog or website takes off, they ask for a share of the profits.
    Thanks, again Tyrone!

  5. Hello Tyrone,
I received your latest Outsourcing Secrets Newsletter and I’m wondering who is the car blog person that you are talking about in the Passive income method #1? I would like their name and website address so I can talk to that person if you don’t mind.
    Thank you.

    Cheers,
    Rick

  6. Hi Tyrone – just finished watching your very informative videos (many thanks) – N.B. a quick ‘heads up’ for you: the DotProjects.net site you mentioned in the final video was flagged by my AVG Anti-Virus software as being a place I really should avoid! (Big RED warning signs appeared!)

It’s very rare that this happens to me so just thought I’d pass it along.

    Cheers,

    Clive

    • Hi Clive,

Thanks for letting me know. I will take a look into this.

  7. Wow,another great information!!

Clearly outsourcing is the way to go if you want to turn your blog into a sustainable business. I still feel I’m not at that stage, though a little voice says I’m being chicken

    Thanks for article Tyrone

Nice interview! The video is really good and also informative……

  12. Hi Tyrone, any way we can get the .mp3 of this interview and the Louis one as well? I usually only listen to interviews while in the car or at the gym – that way I can take advantage of that time.

Maybe use the Podcasting wordpress plugin so someone can download/listen to it right from the article? This is the best one I’ve found (and constantly updated):

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/podcasting/

    Thanks Tyrone!

    • Hi Michael,

Thanks for reminding me. I had the mp3 already uploaded, just forgot to add it to the post. It’s there now and you can download it anytime.

      Thanks and enjoy!

  13. It’s really great to be able to learn through someone else’s experience. I’m glad to have you as a resource. Finding someone to handle my increasing admin tasks is climbing higher on my To Do list. Excellent interview!

  14. Great interview Tyrone! :-)

  15. Tyrone, your interview is just packed with information! I appreciate having taken the time to listen as I learned a lot. One question that I still have is: How do I decide what jobs to ask a VA to do? It’s scary to hand over tasks instead of being in control of things myself, even though I know that ultimately I cannot do it all myself.

    • Hi Amy,

The way I choose the work I assign to VAs is to see which one will be dollar productive. If they can be automated such as replying to emails with filters or setting up posting to blogs with software, then I won’t give them to my VAs. Furthermore, look at the tasks that you are repeating a lot of and have them outsourced.

      Thanks.

  16. Tyrone,

Thank you for sharing your extensive information. You haven’t left any gaps. I feel like I could listen and follow your steps and hire someone if I needed them. I had forgotten that the Philippines was a U.S. colony and that English is spoken well by nearly everyone. That’s been one reason I haven’t considered outsourcing outside the U.S., Canada or the U.K. I can’t afford any of those.

  17. Hey Tyrone,

I found this interview really helpful.

You and Kathy are both really happy people!

You both made me laugh a few times too, looked like you were really enjoying it, totally kept my attention and made me watch all of the interview from beginning to end, thank you both.

    Sally :)

  18. This is one of the clearest explanations of finding VA help and effectively using them. As a former brick and mortar biz owner, I found this to be similar to trying to find local employees. Tyrone, this is a quite generous sharing of your invaluable experience, Thanks. I think some of my projects may be ready for this soon. I will be referring to this and coming back to you for your expertise in this process.

  19. Hi Tyrone,

Thanks for your outsourcing tips. It really helps me to reduce my burden and I like it especially when I have found the right one who understand exactly what I want.

  20. Hey Tyrone!
Another informative post. I love the tip on not using the standard go-to sites like Elance to find help. You’re the first person to alert me to Odesk. Once I get my outsourcing underway, I will definitely check them out. Thanks for another great video!

  21. Tom

I am a supporter of outsourcing, and do a lot of it myself. However, just recently I had a bad experience, it is not being delivered what I was asking for, from a person who had very high rates and good recommendations. What can I do in this instance?

    • Hi Tom,

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I would try and find another person and set your expectations right at the beginning. That way you both are clear from the beginning of what needs to be done.

  22. Thanks for the great information, Tyrone. I am not ready for outsourcing yet, but I have bookmarked your site for when I am ready — it’s a tremendous resource for us bloggers.

  23. Hi Tyrone,

Thanks for all the information. I am to the point of thinking about out sourceing some of my stuff. I do have Andrew from Blogging Guide doing some of my technical stuff, and I couldn’t get along without him. He is wonderful.

Thanks for helping me with this new information.

    Debbie

  24. Awesome stuff. Tyrone (and Andrew) convinced me to start outsourcing various aspects of my business. I don’t outsource any of my work (yet) but the other time consuming and tasks that I never had time to do are now being outsourced. Plenty of more work to do on that front but I appreciate the encouragement.

  25. Clearly outsourcing is the way to go if you want to turn your blog into a sustainable business. I still feel I’m not at that stage, though a little voice says I’m being chicken! I’ve bookmarked this on delicious to come back to as its a great interview.

  26. Corinne Edwards

    Dear Tyrone -

This was such a generous contribution and you took so much time to lead us through your journey and the steps to outsource.

I’ve never tried it but Iearned so much about a subject that was very murky indeed before this.

    Subscribed to everything.

You are a special gift to bloggers everywhere.

    Thank you, Tyrone.

  27. Hi Tyrone,

I’ve been using VA’s and outsourcing for a couple of years now – with very mixed results. I find that for every 10 people I hire, I might keep one on board. I’ve started assigning very small tasks and testing them – but I find that they often exaggerate their own skills. I found one perfect person – but I’m always afraid that she’ll leave me and I’ve got to find a back up!

    • Hi Michelle,

Could I ask you where you have outsourced your work to? I’ve found that I could outsource everything and they do the work very well.

  28. Hey Tyrone,

You don’t have to convince me…I’ve been using full-time outsourcers from the Philippines for quite a while know…definitely freed me up to create my own products.

    Andrew

  29. Thanks Tyrone,

This is a must see video. I learnt a load. Leveraging time is so important and that of course means outsourcing.

Massoutsource mastermind course sounds all encompassing with a whole load of useful tips. Will drop you an email with a few questions. Lance

    • Thanks Lance. I look forward to your email and helping you with your journey too!
