Recently, my friend Adam suggested I take a look at replacemyself.com, which is a website that shows you how to train and outsource your business to people in the Philippines working for you full time starting from $250 US per month. Although the information provided is not free, it was extremely valuable and for the price of $97.00 US, it is definitely worth it! It sparked my interest because I am already outsourcing tasks to assistants in the Philippines and I wanted to see how this system could improve my business further. Before we get into the details of this system, I am going explore what outsourcing is and how you can use it within your own Internet business.
What Is Outsourcing?
For me, it is taking routine tasks or areas of my business and hiring good quality people to do them for me at a fraction of the cost. One of the main reasons why I outsource a majority of my business is to eliminate the tasks that I am not good at and focus on tasks that utilises my strengths. For example, I currently have all of my emails and telephone support outsourced to a team of assistants. Therefore I am able to focus my time and energy to do more podcast interviews with leading experts and deliver them through this blog.
What Can You Outsource?
As I mentioned, you can outsource your telephone and email support to a team of assistants. Additionally there are many other tasks that can be outsourced as well. Here are some common tasks within an Internet business that you can consider:
- Setting up Adwords campaigns
- Managing Your affiliate programs and campaigns
- Installing and setting up minisites and blogs
- Linking and Search Engine Optimization
- Video Marketing
- Article Marketing
- Social Network Marketing
- Content creation
- Managing your websites
As you can see there are lots of tasks that you can outsource. The key to determining what tasks you want to outsource is to find out what your strengths and weaknesses are. Furthermore, take action on what you are good at and outsource the rest to people. In my opinion also, if there has been something that you have struggled to complete perhaps outsource that job and have it completed. That way you have to worry about it any longer.
The Secrets Of Outsourcing
Now that you understand what outsourcing is, I want to share with you some profound ideas that I have learned from other people who have outsourced successfully and turned their businesses earning $100,000 a year to over $1 million a year.
“The secret behind their success is not what they do daily. It is the system they implement with the right people in place to run it. A lot of the great Internet marketers spend more time thinking about a process and getting others to implement it.”
Here are some of the major concepts that are crucial in the successfully outsourcing your business:
Put Together A Team Of Full Time Employees
Your goal is to hire people working for you full time who will be able to replace you. They will be able to work with others in a team and manage your business without you having any involvement. By removing yourself from the business you will see it grow faster and begin to ‘own’ a business rather than ‘running’ a business. If you are currently running your business and managing your daily activities, then having a full time staff will help you immensely.
Provide Training Videos And Tutorials
As easy as it sounds to hire a full time staff, you will need train them and show them what you are currently doing. By providing them with training videos it saves you time and also it is part of your documentation for future staff that you may intend to hire. This is one component that I recommend you take time to create as it will save you hours in the future. If you purchase the replacemyself program, you will get all the training videos inside and that in itself has saved me a lot of time.
Have A Project Management System
Since you will be managing staff at the beginning and training them to understand your business systems, the best and easiest way is to have a project management system in place. This project management system will allow you and your staff to follow a time line and meet deadlines for projects that you will be assigning them. Once they are fully trained in using this system you will be able to have the project management system automate all your jobs and your staff will follow it automatically for you, allowing you to oversee your whole business. By then your business will continue to grow and run without you.
This is just a little sneak peak of what you can accomplish with outsourcing and hopefully you will start to see how you can grow and leverage your Internet business. Stay tuned for an upcoming podcast on how to setup your outsourcing systems and make $100,000 a year working as little as 2 days per week.

I outsource stuff only to people I know personaly. I hate outsourcing things to people I don’t know – you can never be sure if you’ll get original, high quality content.

I probably agree to a certain extent. It’s all about building a relationship with the person you are going to be working with and if their previous experience and work is of high quality, then you will want to hire them. Obviously you can’t do everything yourself!

It is hardly a secret, many companies do it because it is cheap and many people will just give up on directing their complaints to the company. Myself, I remember this and try not to do business with those companies if at all possible.

I really enjoyed reading this, I agree that in order not to run the company you need to find someone to work for you that could replace you. One job I worked at they would hire managers but they didn’t trust the managers when they should of. And them being there and angry because they would handle everything just made everything worse. Now I have this new job where I can help companies.

Thanks for your comment griffin. It is important to just let go and let the managers do their job, otherwise you end up not doing any of your own work.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge about outsourcing. I like the concept of concentrating on your strength and letting someone do the job that your not good at. That can save you time and effort.
