Today, I’m happy to share with you another podcast with Chris Ducker whom I already had on the call previously sharing his outsourcing business in the Philippines. Though what’s much interesting is that he’s recently launched a brand new service called Get Virtual Staff Finder to streamline finding and hiring virtual staff for small to large businesses and entrepreneurs. Watch this video to find more about this brand new service that I’ve used as well:
Tyrone: Hi everyone, it’s Tyrone from Tyroneshum.com. Today I’ve got a special guest here on the call with me. You’ve probably already seen previously I’ve interviewed Chris Ducker before and I just wanted to get Chris on the line today because I want to share with you something really, really exciting and something that I’ve used as a service as well, too. So, I probably should introduce Chris first. How are you going Chris?
Chris: Very, very good. How about yourself?
Tyrone: Good, good buddy. Well the reason why I got Chris on the call today was I’ve been talking to Chris quite a bit and just from personal experience, I believe that Chris has one of the best places to find people to outsource virtual assistants and anything that you need in terms in the Philippines because being over in the Philippines where Chris is right now, is a huge, huge opportunity for him to be able to find good, quality stuff for you. So I thought okay, Chris’s got a new service that’s come out called Virtual Staff Finder and I thought why not get Chris on the line to share a little bit more information about this service. A service that I’ve used already and I found exceptional and something that I can highly, highly recommend. So Chris, maybe just share with us why you started this service and also little bit more about how it works?
Chris: Okay, well ahh…the reason why I set this thing up more than anything else, had to think of that for a minute…
Tyrone: I think I realized that.
Chris: The reason why I set it up more than anything else is because as my own outsourcing company Live2Sell Group has grown over the 5 years being in the business, our own sort of business strategies have changed a little bit. We no longer work with very small companies or entrepreneurs. We tend to sort of focus on partnering up with medium to large sized companies nowadays. And that’s just…you know, that’s just a strategy thing. It’s not because we don’t like the little businesseses, or you know the moutain top places or things like that. Fact to the matter is that you know, for every company as it grows, things change, strategies change. We would know different. And, I mean as an entrepreneur myself, I really…did miss. I’m talking about really for the last year or so. We haven’t worked with any sort of entrepreneurs or small companies. I’ve really been missing those one on one collaborations and those conversations, you know brainstorming and mind mapping sessions and things like that. And, it just became very, very evident to me from talking to people like yourself who are obviously involved with the outsourcing industry online and also with the clients coming through to…to our website, the Live2Sell website that there’s a massive, massive gap in the market for people who wanted to work with homebased virtual assistants but perhaps maybe didn’t want to spend the time and the effort, and the certain amount of money to go through all the process of trying to find somebody. And then, have possibly the risk in wasting a lot of time and money by choosing the wrong people. And, I think there’s a lot of horror stories online by using all these job websites which I’m not going to mention because I only get in trouble with them. But, the fact to the matter is that there’s a lot of horror stories where you pay people and they disappear on you, all those sorts of stuff. For me that’s…it’s just not fair for the entrepreneur. So, we set it up to bridge that gap fundamentally, that’s the tagline of the services: to bridge the outsourcing gap between working with a homebased virtual assistant and having the backbone and the infrastructure in terms of the interviewing, and background checking, and betting and testing that we have with Live2Sell Group that we use ourselves internally when we’re hiring people for our company. We have over 220 people working for us now so it’s tried and tested, it really does work.
Tyrone: Awesome. Well, the thing is probably just to mention as well, I’ve worked with quite a lot of students and members within Mass Outsource and also I still get a lot of people inquiring through my blog as well and through the MassOutsource.com, “Tyrone, I can’t find anyone who’s suitable. I’ve been through the job websites that you’ve recommended…” and I’m not saying that those job websites are probably going to be the best or not any good or anything like that but it’s a struggle because sometimes, to deal with them to find the right quality people does take time. So what Chris is able to do with this service and the reason why I find some awesome service and it worked really, really well is that it saves you time. It saves you huge amount of time having to go out there and find it yourself, do the interview process, back and forth testing and so forth. What Chris can do for you is really streamline that time and interview them for you, make sure the processes are all correct in place and basically hand you through that silver platter. And, you get basically the right candidate and saves you so much time having to spend looking for them. And, I’ll give you an example because I have used his service already. He was actually able to…I actually contacted Chris and I said, “Look Chris, I’m struggling to find a good, quality programmer out there specifically for PHP. And, because of that I just said look, I’ve been looking through so many different qualifications try out this website, try that website and just couldn’t find the right one. I said Chris can you see for me, since you’re in the Philippines, anyone that’s local around your area to be able to come and get interviewed and potentially be a candidate for my company.” So he went out there within probably a couple of days, came back with an awesome response and since then, I hired him. He’s been on my team for…I don’t know how long now but he’s just been an awesome, awesome programmer. So thank you, thank you to Chris that if I didn’t actually ask him, I wouldn’t have him on board. So I can tell you, just from personal experience, the service that Chris provides is just tremendous value because the kind of things that he can do for you not only can he find good candidates but he’ll also give you that personalized service to find out exactly what you want and this is just a testimonial for Chris’s service called the Virtual Staff Finder which I think in my opinion is probably one of the best resources to help find virtual assistants and virtual staff all across from the Philippines. So yeah…
Chris: I think it’s…I’d like to just add one thing as well. I think this will put a lot in people’s mind that these are as well, I actually now put together a team. When we were working with you actually, it’s just myself and my assistant that’s just working with people locally to find, I believe it was Joseph right? That’s the name of the programmer we’ve found you. And he actually is based here in Cebu and he came into the office, I’ve met him very briefly and he chatted with a couple of staff and everything but obviously not all the virtual assistants that we help entrepreneurs find and start to work with are based here in Cebu. You know, a lot of them are in Manila and that’s hours and airplane away. So what I’ve eventually done, I’ve set up a team three girls now, that consistently work not only with the clients, the entrepreneurs hiring for the service but also for the virtual assistants as well. And this is the very important part, we pre-programm their mindset on the types of things like when they should get paid, how they should get paid, how much they should get paid, the type of work that they’ll be doing for their virtual bosses, how to work with their virtual bosses and things like that. Not only as…I don’t actually do that myself. I have Filipinos in their local time, in their local dialect when there’s no…you know there’s absolutely no barriers, you know what they’re saying is getting across to them perfectly, there’s no communication barriers or problems in any way whatsoever. And so far, we’ve placed about in work. We launched the service a week ago and last week we’ve had close to 20 people signed up for it and I think we’ve already placed about 7 or 8 virtual assistants and so far the response have just been phenomenal. People were just like “Wow, they really know what they’ll be doing for me.” And that is you know, of the back as well as number one, finding somebody then number two, finding someone that’s actually going to know what you want me to do for you on a day to day basis. And, part of the process for the entrepreneur or the virtual boss to actually put together a very good quality job description as well so we can find the right candidate in that place as well. It’s not just about pretty good job ad on a website, we want to know exactly what your virtual staff member is going to be doing on a day to day basis so that we can find absolute best candidate for that as well.
Tyrone: Absolutely and that’s the reason why I say it to a lot of people and I always refer a lot of people back to you Chris because the fact is a lot of them just come back to me and say…and say to me…
Chris: I should thank you for that. You’re right. No, I’ve had a ton of sign ups for you, a ton! And not just for Virtual Staff Finder but also for Live2Sell Group as well a few full time you know, solution provider VAs as well. So thank you very, very much.
Tyrone: You’re welcome anytime because if you can look after my clients, if it makes them happy, it makes me happy too. So…but in all that I’ve seen is that the thing that is so important is finding the right quality candidate is not easy and I know that it’s hard because I’ve been through that myself and I’ve filtered through hundreds and hundreds of candidates and sometimes you just get frustrated. It’s probably better to have somebody who’s physically there and has a team back and behind you to actually go through that process which in the end if you spend a whole week trying to find somebody and Chris does it in a couple of hours for you, you can imagine the cost saving you can gain back from that. So I definitely recommend, I highly, highly recommend checking out the Virtual Staff Finder. If you do want to find out more about Chris’s service, just simply shoot him an email which I’ll put a link right down below here and you can contact him anytime. He’s a friendly guy, so don’t be afraid of him. And if there’s any further questions that you want to ask me as well just feel free to shoot it through. But I hope that you take this service on and have a look at it and consider it if you are looking for a virtual staff right now because it’s an awesome service. Anything else you want to add Chris as well, too?
Chris: No. Not at all, except for the fact that you’re very kind gentleman for that very nice testimonial, thank you very much.
Tyrone: You’re welcome. You can use it anyway you want to. So yeah, if you guys want to check it out, just simply click on the link that’s right below in this video as well, too. And, I’m pretty sure that Chris will look after you straightaway too.
Chris: Sure I will. Your promise made, it was my pleasure.
Tyrone: You’re welcome. Awesome. Well, thanks again for coming onto the call and sharing with our audience and also I hope that for people who’ve seen this will benefit from this as well and hope to see you soon as well. So we’ll catch up as well after this.
Chris: You got it, absolutely.
Tyrone: Awesome. Have a good one!
Chris: You too mate!
Tyrone: Bye for now.
Well, as I’m the living proof of this fantastic service from Chris, I am really, really proud to share this service with everyone especially with my students in Mass Outsource struggling to find a qualified staff for their team. So, feel free to share your feedback and suggestions regarding this and if you’ve ever tried it.
Tyrone you always have the best resources! I’m working my way up to needing a VA, and it’s so helpful to know that there’s a way over the “how do I hire the best person for my company?” obstacle.
Hi Amy,
Thanks. Let me know when the time comes and I’d be happy to help or provide you with the right resources and direction.
Many of my friends are having trouble finding the right virtual assistants too. I shall share this post with them.
Thanks Raymond.
Let me know if you need any further assistance?
Thanks Tyrone!
It is becoming more and more apparent that in order to get the success I want, I’m going to have to increase my extremely limited outsourcing.
I know I need to use outsourcing for turning videos and audios into pdfs, and other simple yet time-consuming tasks… but beyond that, I’m pretty clueless. I guess I’ll have to get your course to figure out the rest
keep smiling,
Benjamin
Hey Benjamin,
Well, the fastest way to success is really to get other people to help you or to have really powerful systems in place. It’s always been the way and if you only do it yourself you only have so many hours in the day to complete tasks.
By the way I am reopening Mass Outsource Mastermind this month. Stay tuned for the email that’s going to be going out shortly.
Thank you.
I’m quite happy with the VA I found in the Philippines!
I have to say it’s made my life easier. She’s now single-handily writing an ebook for me right now and the draft blew me away.
Thanks Tyrone for your guidance.
Krizia
Hi Krizia,
That’s fantastic! Love to do a case study on you soon. Let me know when you are free to be interviewed?
Thanks.
Tyrone
I’ve just bookmarked this as it seems a great first step – whenever I get round to making it! Good interview, thanks
David
Good information Tyrone. I do a little outsourcing, but sometimes I feel like I would like to do more. I will keep Chris in the file for when I figure out what it is that I do need. He sure could make for things to be much simplier. If i were to do it now it would probably be in the social media, sometimes I think I fall down a little on knowing how to do that.
Debbie
Hi Debbie,
Totally agree. There’s so much in social media that I get overwhelmed as well and that’s why I’ve got my team helping me with this side of things.
Great information provided inside this video, Tyrone. Well done! I’m eternally grateful to you for the introduction you made for me that resulted in an excellent relationship with my virtual assistant. Thanks again and keep providing this information for people.
Hi Cheryl,
That’s great to hear your success with the relationship you have with your virtual assistant.
Thanks.
Can you believe I got local college students in my city who do my outsourcing work..Why? because I can sit down with them and go over details face to face.
I’m still saving good money on this type of service…my numbers break down the the fact of…every $1 I spend…I make $5 from the outsourcing..so it works out good for me.
But I do like the idea you guys have also, I will look in on it some more.
Have a good one Tyrone..
“TrafficColeman “Signing Off”
Hi Traffic Coleman,
That’s great! I’ve found college students to be very bright. Though you will need to ensure you find people for the long term as once they graduate you may need to retrain new staff.
Thanks.
Hi Tyrone
I’m new to your site but am finding the info very interesting.
In some of your video’s you talk about sourcing the VS through online sites for $250 to $300per month, l’m wondering how these figure compare to what Chris is able to source for you (excluding the upfront cost)?
And have you used Chris’s Live2care service?
Hi Craig,
Thanks for popping over. It’s quite comparable and it depends on who you hire to help you. It will be up to you also to negotiate the best rate with your VA and what they are willing to work for.
I haven’t tried Chris Live2care service because it’s not what I need in my business.
Hello all, Virtual Assistants (or VAs) perform many different tasks for their clients. They do everything from proofreading to helping their clients provide great customer service to web site design and web site maintenance to setting up teleclasses and sending out newsletters to many more.
I am just beginning to use VA’s. Outsourcing has been a big challenge for me to accept. This looks like a safer way to find someone more compatible rather than hit or miss. Thanks for making me aware of this service.
Hi Bruce,
You are welcome and it’s also a friendlier and faster way to find VAs. I’m sure you will enjoy working with Chris.
Hi Bruce
I look forward to working with you when you decide to pull the trigger, buddy.
All the best until then!
Chris
Interesting interview, and sounds like a very useful service. Thinking seriously about using this in the next few months.
Hey Joel,
Let me know how you go as I personally recommend this service to everyone I know – Saves a lot of time!
Hi Joel
Cool – I’m sure you’ll be happy with the outcome, bud.
I look forward to our consultation call, once you’ve signed-up and are ready to rock n roll…!
Regards,
Chris
Great interview – wouldn’t expect anything less from you :-] Inexperienced with this type of outsourcing, definitively an address to remember for if and when I get around to outsourcing. In the meantime, happy to facebook and tweet.
- Beat
Thanks Beat. Appreciate the support and hope to see you back here with a story on outsourcing your business soon!
This is an invaluable source, Tyrone. What a nice guy. One thing I was wondering – who do you pay? The VA direct or Chris?
And – an off side question. Do you employ only Phillipinos?
For example, there is more and more video blogging and interviewing on line. These people write well – but when they get a mike they are sometimes very uncomfortable and make a lot of mistakes. They need a little touch up on presenting themselves.
I am a media coach. Was a talk show host and producer for 400 cable shows nationwide in the US for Wisdom Television. I train people via Skype and ooVoo.
Is there any call for that? This is a new area for VA.
Here is a link to what I do. Putting it at the end in case you do not allow it. You can take it out. But keep me in mind.
http://www.personal-growth-with-corinne-edwards.com/hire-corinne-edwards/
Hi Corinne,
Thanks. You will pay Chris an upfront finder’s fee to help you search for the VA / virtual staff and then from there onwards you will pay your VA directly.
Yes I only employ people from the Philippines. What you’ve proposed is interesting and it’s possible to find someone to do what you are looking for. Perhaps have a chat with Chris because no doubt there will be educated presenters in the Philippines who would understand and be able to do what you’re looking for. I know personally it’s very easy to train them and communicate with them because they understand our western culture.
Hope this helps and let me know how you go as I would love to see it work for you?
Tyrone,
Thanks for introducing the Virtual Staff Finder service, it sounds like a great idea and like it would be a huge time saver. One question for you: you mentioned you used Chris to find you a PHP programmer. That doesn’t exactly fall into the traditional role of a virtual assistant. Does Chris offer the ability to find web developers/programmers too, or was that just a personal thing he did for you?
All the best.
Hi Tony,
You are welcome. Yes Chris doesn’t just search for VA’s he can find literally anyone that you may need – programmers, videographers, book keepers etc. Since his located in the Philippines it’s as simple as placing an ad in the local area to find people for you. Let me know how you go?
Hi Tony
Yes, as Tyrne mentions, any type of virtual staff member(s) you need, we can find for you. Predominatly it is more of the traditional VA or online PA type of search.
But, we’ve placed many other types of virtual staff, too.
We even had one request from a husband wanting to hire a virtual nurse (yes, you heard me right!) for his pregnant wife to contact and chat with as and when she felt the need to do so.
Excellent stuff….!
Let me know what you need, and I’m sure we can get the position filled for you.
Chris
Hey Tyrone,
Just gave the video a watch and I’m considering getting a personal assistant for when I’m tied down with my niche blogs!
If I do, I’ll definitely contact Chris!
- Karl
Hey Karl,
Having one will definitely make your life a lot easier guaranteed! Let me know if there’s anything else I could help you with when you hire your first virtual assistant.
Thanks.
Hi Karl
Awesome stuff, buddy.
Niche sites are a real plus to any entrepreneurs list of income boosters.
Look me up when you’re ready to start utilizing a VA and we’ll hook you up with a great one…!
Regards and good luck,
Chris
I’ve had my fair share of ‘bad’ outsourcing staff over the years. When you get a ‘bad’ one you do have to be ruthless and move on from them.
The service that Chris now provides sounds like a service I could have done with a few years ago!
Andrew
P.S. I now very happy with my outsourcers!
Hi Andrew,
Yes I know exactly what you mean and that’s why when Chris introduced this service I was so happy to use it. It’s targeted towards business users like us.
Hi Andrew
First up, happy to hear that all is going well with your outsourced staff – excellent news.
Secondly, if you get to the point where you need any additional I’m sure we’d be able to help you find the dedicated home-based staff you need a little easier than you’ve experienced in the past.
Look us up!
Chris
