    Tyrone,

Have a look at http://www.gomeetnow.com. GoMeetNow is an affordable and alternative web conferencing service to more expensive solutions like GoToMeeting, WebEx etc.

    • Thanks Abrham. I still prefer Gotowebinar as it’s been very reliable for us and it’s not too expensive for us.

  2. Hey Tyrone,

Great Post as always! I always enjoy the bits of great information you always provide!
I see in the post above that Jean had mentioned GVOConference, I also use It. It is really great! and At a price that is going to rock the webinar Business World! $8.97 for a 50 seat rm!! You can check it out in the link above. In the name link ?maybe?

    • Hi James,

That is quite cheap for that many seats. How much would it cost for 500 seats I wonder?

      Thanks.

  3. Great video Tyrone,

I love the way you make it all look so natural and effortless.

Teleconferencing and Webinar Services are certainly the way to go for the future. It’san easy, affordable way to get your message out to the masses with very little effort, but even so, for the small business owner or entrepreneur, the money charged for Calliflower and GoToWebinar, which are great services, may be too much, especially these days.

    Have you heard of GVOConference?

It’s a really affordable powerful alternative, easy to use and works on any computer platform with no downloads for the viewer.

I use it to communicate with my autistic son who doesn’t speak. It allows me to see him as well as be able to show powerpoints, videos, upload files, etc.

What I really like about it apart from the price, is that it’s in five different languages – English, German, Portugese, Russian and Spanish, plus it’s soon to be compliant for the hearing impaired!

You might want to check it out sometime, after all, everyone wants to save money especially if it doesn’t affect the service, right?

    Best wishes

    • Hi Jean,

Thanks! Yes I’ve heard of GVOConference, though have not tried them. How much are they charging per month and what do they offer?

      Cheers.

Nice Video. Always find your content useful. I plan to host my first webinar soon. Quick question?

How do you record your videos with that small extra screen of you in your webcam? I’m talking about that added screen at 3:17, it just pops up. And at the end you make it grow bigger and become the main screen. I really like how it’s put together.

    • Hi Rocky,

Thanks! What you’re asking is a function all built into Mac’s. Firstly you need a MacBook Pro and Screenflow software. Inside screenflow it allows you to record your video inside a little screen shot. Here’s a video I did here: http://www.tyroneshum.com/how-to-capture-video/

      Enjoy

  5. Hi Tyrone,

Just thought I’d introduce myself. I’m the CEO of iotum, the creators of Calliflower. We loved your video!

It looks like a lot of your readers are entrepreneurs. If so, they might also find our affiliate program of interest.

    Cheers, Alec.

    • Hi Alec,

Thanks and we’ve met before. You actually helped me setup Skype for Calliflower and that’s why I’ve been impressed with the service.

Any new developments by the way?

      • Shoot! So I did!

We’ve got some interesting stuff for running webinars coming down the pipe. Send me an email (alec@iotum.com) and I will get you set up on the beta.

        Cheers!

        A

        • Hey Alec,

Was wondering if the pricing is a little more affordable on your webinar package than say GotoWebinar. I bet there are others on this comment wondering the same. Thanks

  6. Tyrone,

Thanks so much for posting this. I had never heard of Calliflower and think that “raise your hand” function is a great benefit. I’ve participated in a lot of GoTo Webinars (via internet and phone), but am looking at hosting some events and the futre and really appreciate the experience you share with both products as I gear up for more outreach.

    • Hi Nanette,

Yes, the raise your hand function is very powerful and I’m glad that Calliflower offers this. I checked out other softwares and that was the thing that limited the calls and made it difficult to manage.

  7. Remco

    Thanks Tyrone,

I liked your intro….any tips on websites who can help me with videos?
I didn’t know calliflower. What are the advantages compared to gotomeeting.com?

I will host my first webinar within 2 months, and will use gotowebinar. Now if you record it, will this be done straight to my harddrive? I cannot find that info on their site.

    regards

    • Hi Remco,

Thanks. Have you downloaded Gideon’s Rapid Video Blogging report? (It’s got all you need inside to help you with videos): http://www.tyroneshum.com/rapid-video-report

Also Calliflower’s advantage is it’s lower cost of $50 per month and the ability to have a “raise your hand” function.

Usually with Goto Webinar it records it on their server first then you download the file from their system.

      Thanks.

  8. Really liked your presentation on these webinar and teleconference tools Tyrone. Even though they cost some money, they are low cost and a good investment if you are monetizing those efforts while on the call – aka selling products or acting as an affiliate.

Really good info. there, isn’t there like a cheap tool that allows you to teleconference up to 100 people until you are ready for bigger calls as well?

    • Hi Dwight,

Yes there are and they are also free. Though they don’t have the extra functions I was talking about inside the tutorials.

It really depends on what you need to do and how many people you will be hosting inside your calls.
